50/48 UC-(V) / UP-(V) new generation roof-type air conditioner units have higher efficiency than Ecodesign (EU 2016/2281) requirements. 50/48 UC-(V) / UP-(V) Carrier roof-type air conditioners meet the standards for seasonal efficiency. There are 13 different models ranging between 25-220 kw.
As in other Carrier cooling groups, 50/48 UC-(V) / UP-(V) rooftop units are supplied with a SmartVu color touch display user interface as standard. Users can access all parameters of the units and control the units over the internet anywhere in the world with an ethernet cable with this interface.
Also with EC plug fans used as standard at supply air and return air side, efficiency, as well as ease of service, is ensured.
Decreasing the power consumption by the units according to capacity demand at partial loads with a total 4 constant-speed compressors in 2 independent refrigerant circuits or optionally inverter compressors allows for energy-saving.
One of the greatest advantages of the new generation units offer is that they can meet all kinds of duct connection direction requirements in the field. Ducts can be connected from the bottom, top, and sides even if all options are selected at both the supply air and return air side.
Heating can also be provided with a multi-stage electric heater, proportionally-controlled hot water coil, or condensing high efficiency proportionally-controlled natural gas heaters with low NOx emission, all integrated into the units, as an alternative to DX coil heating in heat pump units.
Rotary-type heat recovery can be easily mounted on the units with an additional module in the field and allow for high capacity and high-efficiency heat recovery in more extreme summer/winter climates.
