High-Level Visit to Alarko Carrier from Carrier Global

Alarko Carrier's factory in Gebze hosted the senior executives of Carrier Global. The team, consisting of Hakan Yılmaz, Vice President of Carrier Technology and Engineering (CTO), Edith Di Francesco, Vice President of Engineering of Carrier Transicold & Refrigeration and Giorgio Rusignuolo, Carrier HVAC Vice President of Engineering were briefed about production innovations in both the factory and the research-development (R&D).

During the visit hosted by Alarko Carrier General Manager Cem Akan, Carrier Global visitors were informed about Alarko Carrier's R&D projects as well as the factories’ production areas and laboratories.

Technology Ecosystem Closely Introduced

Providing information to the Carrier delegations, Alarko Carrier General Manager Cem Akan said, “Carrier officials came together with local technology initiatives, various technopolis officials, educational institutions, and entrepreneurs to examine the challenges and opportunities of the technology industry in Turkey and visited us to get to know the technology ecosystem in our country. It is pleasing that Carrier, with which we have been a partner since 1998, sees both the visionary R&D projects we carry out and our air conditioning industry as potential in terms of engineering.” 

On the second day of the Carrier delegation visit, the Carrier team met with senior officials of Alarko Holding and had information on the production and R&D processes. Then, they visited ITU ARI Teknokent to evaluate Istanbul's talent, university, and industrial park ecosystem for a potential R&D investment. During the visit, where possible collaborations in the field of energy management were evaluated, CORE and MAGNET units were visited and detailed information was obtained about the start-up studies.
