Alarko Carrier Awards Photographs that Strikingly Reflect Climate Change, for the 10th Time

The applications for the 10th “Global Climate Change Photography Awards” by Alarko Carrier began on 7th of August. Any amateur and professional photography enthusiast can submit applications till 24th of September, reaching for the awards offered for the images that strikingly reflect the changing climate's effects on the world.

The Global Climate Change Photography Awards, organized by Alarko Carrier in order to raise awareness about climate change affecting the whole world, is now in its 10th year. Applications for the awards on offer to the photographs reflecting global climate change's effects on our planet in a most striking way began on August 7th. Anyone interested in amateur or professional photography can participate. Until September 24th, all photography enthusiasts who follow Alarko Carrier's relevant social media accounts and share their photos with the hashtag #AlarkoCarrierKüreselİklim2023 by tagging @alarkocarrier on Instagram or @alarko_carrier on Twitter can apply.

Top 12 photos will be awarded

The top 12 photographs, selected in accordance with how they capture the global climate change's effects on the ecosystem, will be awarded. The first prize will be an iPhone 14 128 GB mobile phone; the second prize will be a DJI Mini 3 Pro (DJI RC Screen Controlled) Drone; and the third prize will be a Canon Eos M50 Mark II 15-45mm IS STM Vlogger Kit Vlog camera. The photographers who shot the fourth, fifth, and sixth placed photos based on the Selection Committee's evaluation will be rewarded with a Zhiyun Weebill 2 Gimbal. The owners of the six photographs ranked seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth, in turn, will win a gift voucher worth TRY 3,000 from MediaMarkt. In addition, all winners in the top 12 will receive a 12-month subscription to Atlas Magazine.

Applications Will Be Evaluated in Two Stages

The photos shared with the public on Instagram and Twitter till the 24th of September will be subjected to editorial review, and then published on Alarko Carrier's microsite. Between September 25th and 28th, top 50 photographs will be selected by the pre-selection committee. The photos that pass the preliminary selection will be evaluated by the Selection Committee to name the top 20 shots. The top 20 photos will undergo a further evaluation in the final voting to be held by the Selection Committee between September 29th and October 8th. The finalists and award winners will be announced on Alarko Carrier’s official web site and social media accounts, on October 16th, 2023.
