TOSHIBA ESTIA - The World’s Most Efficient Air To Water Heat Pump In Turkey

 

New era is beginning in the heating and air conditioning sector with Toshiba’s latest product “Estia”. Toshiba Estia uses air as its main energy source, consumes less energy than other heating systems and provides high savings. Alarko Carrier introduced Estia to the sector and the press at launching meetings held in Istanbul on March 8, in Ankara on March 10 and in Izmir on March 12, 2010. Speaking at the meetings, Önder Şahin, General Manager of Alarko Carrier, pointed out that Estia, offered to the Turkish and European markets simultaneously, was Toshiba’s first time in the heating market in Turkey.

Stating that they believed cooperation with Toshiba in individual and light commercial air conditioning continuing since 2005 will proceed successfully in the heating market as well, Şahin added that the new trend in the European market was turning towards heat pumps that transfer alternative energy sources and heat found in nature rather than using fossil fuels and that there would be important changes in the Turkish heating market and added that the share of heat pumps in this market would increase considerably.

Önder Şahin also pointed out that they were offering the market long lasting, quality, innovative products that provide consumers both savings and comfort, and at the same time show maximum environmental awareness. “Toshiba Estia, environment friendly because it has no flue gas emissions and uses environment friendly R410A cooling gas. Moreover, research has shown us that consumers using Estia will make savings of approximately 30% in Istanbul, 34% in Izmir, 45% in Adana and 50% in Antalya.”

Toshiba Global Sales Group Manager Hideyuki Kumazawa, who participated in the meeting with a presentation, said there was a successful growth in the Turkish heating-cooling market and that they expected this trend to continue in the future. Kumazawa also said, “We have increased our sales by more than 100% since 2005 when we started cooperating with Alarko Carrier. The experience and success of Alarko Carrier that has been active in this sector for many years is unquestionable… We are learning a lot from Alarko Carrier. We are sure to be successful in the heat pump market with the technology we use in our products combined with the experience and sales network of Alarko Carrier. Our aim is to be the market leader.”
