WOLF, A Reliable Business Partner In Heating, Which Is Among The Leading Firms Of Europe

Alarko Carrier and Wolf which is among the leading firms of Germany in the fields of heating, air conditioning, ventilating, condensation technology, solar energy and which is a well-know trademark in Turkey have signed a business partnership contract.

Within the scope of the cooperation established between Alarko Carrier and Wolf, first of all the CGB series wall type and MKG series ground type condensing boilers were included in the product list. Therefore, a rich model selection was created in the section of middle capacity condensing heating boilers in the Alarko Carrier heating product list.

Alarko Carrier, which is effective in the applications up to a 395 kW capacity in the market with the ATAG and new ALARKO Seradens condensing combi and boilers, increases its capacity up to 1176 kW with the CGB and MGK series condensing boilers through cascade system and fulfills the requirements related to the Building Energy Performance.

After the Regulation on the Energy Performance of Buildings was published in 5 December 2008, and became effective in 5 December 2009, it became an obligation to install and use a central heating system in the buildings over 1000 m², and to use condensing boilers or condensing cascade (multi boiler) systems in the buildings equipped with a central heating system running on natural gas. This means that individual combi systems cannot be used any more in the buildings the area of which is 1000 m² or higher, which will be built new. Under these circumstances, the sale and use of the central system condensing boilers or the condensing cascade boiler systems which are formed by integrating the 100 kW capacity wall type condensing boilers will rapidly become widespread due to the requirements by the related Regulation.

Alarko Carrier gets into the condensing boiler market which is expected to boom in the coming period due to new applications with a great strength with high technology products with up to 1176 kW capacity in cascade systems through the business partnership it developed with Wolf.

Wolf got into the Turkish market before in 1998 by cooperating with a firm operating in the field of heating. Wolf which left the partnership after a period of five years temporarily cooperated with two smaller firms within the scope of conventional combi.

Finally, a new cooperation was established as a result of the coincidence of the demands of Wolf which seeks for getting into the Turkish market with a strong, respectable and popular partner and Alarko Carrier which seeks for middle capacity condensing boilers.

In the agreement which allows fort he production of condensing boilers in our factory in the future, it was agreed that the 75 and 100 kW capacity CGB series wall type and the 130-170-210-250-300 kW capacity MGK series ground type completely premix fully condensing boilers are going to be put on market at the first phase. In December 2009, all the series were tested for certification in Germany together with the TSE (Turkish Standards Institution) authorities and the related certificates were obtained. The products were started to be dol after the dealer and service trainings performed between 3-5 March 2010.

The condensing central heating system solutions with a capacity of up to 395 kW with the use of cascade for the CGB series boilers, and with a capacity up to 1176 kW for the MGK series are going to be put on market with a digital control panel which can be programmed on a weekly basis and which have a Turkish menu, and therefore the great need arose as a result of the Regulation on the Energy Performance of Buildings will be met with a strong partner and its quality products. It is planned to put the condensing solar boiler which use solar energy for both utility water and heating by connecting to a solar collector and other condensing combi devices which will enlarge the product range on market within a short time after the CGB and MGK series are put on market.

The main production fields of Wolf firm which was established in 1963 are air conditioner santrals, combis, boilers, solar collectors, biofuel boilers and heat pumps. Its products are among the products which are known as service friendly and for which service and maintenance services can be provided easily in Germany. Many products of Wolf were tested and certified at high degrees by the German organization named Stiftung Warentest which tests devices in terms of environmentally friendliness, user friendliness and healthiness.

Wolf is a company the factory of which is located on an area of 400.000 m² close to Munich where 1.115 people are employed and which employs 1.242 blue and white collar workers in Germany, which provides sale and marketing services with 65 different partners in 45 countries.

In 2008, it produced 58.000 combis/boilers, 15.000 air conditioner santrals, 30.000 ventilation units and 71.000 / 200.000 m² solar panels. Its turnover was 274 million Euros 30% of which is export as of 2008. In the end of 2008, it was the market leader in Europe in the field of air conditioning, the third in Germany in the field of gas/liquid fuel combi/boilers and one of the leading manufacturer firms in the fields of solar energy and biofuel technology.

The Centrotec Group in which it is involved is a group with a turnover of 476 million Euros which includes the firms manufacturing Ubbink chimney pipe systems, roof accessories, photovoltaic solar energy systems, solar collector glasses, central ventilation systems, air heaters, exhaust air heat recovery units besides Wolf and which is well-known in the field of service engineering services and energy economy systems.

It is aimed to reach much beter points in the heating market thanks to the synergy to be created by the quality of the Wolf’s products and the dealer and service network, recognition, prestige and experience of Alarko Carrier.

A Success Story of 47 Years: Leading, Innovative, Quality and Leader

It was established in Mainburg city, Germany in 1963. In these 47 years passed, it managed to be one of the largest firms in Germany in the fields of heating, ventilating and air conditioning. The initial work of Wolf was to produce dryer units for the hop processing facilities which has been a traditionally performed work in Germany, which is used in beer production. It had 80 employees.

In 1970, Wolf joined to the Salzgitter Group which was established in the second half of the 19th century and which has the largest steel processing and profile manufacturing facilities in Germany.

In 1973, it started to produce special air conditioner units for hotels, hospitals, opera buildings and industrial structures.

In 1975, it added ventilation equipments to its production schedule. In 1981, it headed towards the field of heating after air conditioning and ventilating devices and started to produce heating equipments.

In 1989, Wolf joined to Preussag AG company which was established by the merging of Salzgitter company with Preussag which is one of the largest mine producing and processing companies in Germany.

In 1991, Wolf leaped forward in the beginning of 1990s. It added boiler production and sale to its main prodcuts and became the third largest liquid and gas fuel boiler dealer in Germany in a short time. It was the leader of the European market in the field of air conditioner devices.

In 1994, Wolf started to produce combi boilers.

In 1996, Wolf became one of the first companies which head towards alternative energy resources in Germany. As a result of its studies on solar energy, it started to produce products running on solar energy.

In 1997, Wolf maintained its leading role in the sector as the first company which head towards the field of energy efficiency and make investments in Germany. It started to work on the condensing technology and introduced its first products.

In 1999, Preussag AG company possessed all the shares of Wolf. Wolf GmbH maintained its name, organization and production within the body of the company.

In 2002, Wolf GmbH became a member of the RAL Certification Institution.

In 2003, it organized large sale campaigns as a system provider with a new orientation.

In 2004, It maintained its role of leadership in the field of the production of air conditioning devices and its position of being the third largest company in the gas and liquid fuel boiler market in Germany. Wolf was within the leader group of the market in the fields of combi boilers and solar energy systems. It was the largest manufacturer group in the region of Kelheim in Germany.

In 2005, it developed middle capacity gas fuel boilers (MGK series) and heat recovery compact air conditioner santrals according to the developments in the market.

In 2006, It put the control systems for liquid fuel condensing boilers (CSK series) and wall type units and footed boilers on market.

In 2006, Wolf joined to Centrotec Sustainable AG, Brilon company.
