The 5 star Mardan Palace Hotel the foundation of which was laid 3 years ago by Telman İsmailov who is a Russian businessman of Azebaijani origin in the Kundu beach of Antalya and which costed 1.4 billion dollars was opened with the participation of worldwide famous artists and Hollywood stars.
The AST Group Leader Telman İsmailov stated that he realized his 20 year old dream with the investment of Mardan Palace equal to 1.4 billion dollars and said “I made this investment because I love Turkey so much.” in the opening ceremony of the luxurious hotel. 25 million Euros was spent only for the silver cutlery, glass and porcelain sets of the Hotel. He said “I have always been desiring to make such a great investment in this country. At last, I managed to fulfill this dream”. İsmailov emphasized that the Mardan Palace is the largest tourism investment he made once and for all and said “It was not possible to make this investment which was completed in 3 years in the same time in another country. I would be afraid if I had made an investment in another country in the global crisis environment. If I make a larger one, I will make it in Turkey as well. I never consider making such an investment in another place.”

In the night in which Ertuğrul Günay, Minister of Culture and Tourism; Abdulkadir Aksu, Vice Chairman of AKP; Alaaddin Yüksel, Antalya Governor participated, protocol and artists cut the red ribbon together. 600 special guests participated in the night hosted by the Hollywood star Sharon Stone who became famous with the "Basic Instinct" movie and Seal who is a British soul singer. Mariah Carey who is an American worldwide famous singer, Tom Jones who is an American singer and composer and who is the composer of many memorable songs like Sex Bomb and Philip Kirkorov who is a Russian singer of Armenian origin and who is know as Tarkan of Russia sang their songs for the guests.
American actor Richard Gere and his wife Carey Lowell, Italian star Monica Bellucci, Paris Hilton who is the inheritor of the Hilton hotels and singer İbrahim Tatlıses were among the guests.
The hotel which is equipped with a 24 thousand square meter pool, antique chairs which cost 80 thousand euros aims at being one of the most special hotels in the world.
Richard Bayard, General Director, who states that the rooms ranging from 45 square meters to 900 square meters are very special with their decorations and interior architecture, and they preferred Turkey for textile products and Italy for marbles said “We want the best for everything. We buy the best products from whereever they are". He added that there are four football fields and one stadium in the facility. In addition, he stated that they are unrivalled in Turkey, and they will be among the first three hotels in the world.

In the hotel with 500 rooms, there is a İstanbul Strait shaped 24 thousand square meters pool and the buildings located on one side of the pool which represents the European side have the architectural characteristics of the houses of Ortaköy and Arnavutköy, and the buildings on the Asian side have the architectural characteristics of the classical Turkish houses and Kuleli Military High School. These parts are used as accomodation units at the same time. The transportation between the European and Anatolian sides is through barges. Barges come into ports simialar to the Beşiktaş, Moda, Haydarpaşa ports. There are different restaurants in these ports.
The facility is artsy with its interior architecture as well. There are golden hand painted dressings, ceiling decorations of the Dolmabahçe Palace and even staircases similar to the golden gilded great staircase located in the entrance of the palace. All the decorative materials were selected from historical artifacts. Chairs and mirrors reflecting the Ottoman Period were found searching the antique shops one by one.
In the facility, Alarko Carrier cooling group products were used in the hotel block and lodging buildings. The Carrier cooling group products used are as follows: 12 MW capacity highly efficient 4 19 XR series centrifuge groups, 2 MW capacity 2 30 XA series air cooled screw cooling groups and 1 1250 kW capacity 30 HXC375 series water cooled cooling group.
