Alberto Monti pointed out that the most important areas in hospitals are the hygienic areas and the operating theatres in particular. Monti also stressed hygienic area standards in the whole world rose along with developing technologies. Monti stated that operating theatres were now being equipped with increasingly more complex equipment and therefore, at increasingly higher costs. Hence, the cost of air conditioning systems in comparison to this cost was rather low.
Ibrahim Biner, Assistant Group Coordinator of Alarko Carrier System Sales, stated that in addition to clinical treatment, providing the necessary hygiene conditions in hospitals was of major importance. Biner said, “Hospital air conditioning varies widely from comfort air conditioning due to its impact on human life.”
Hygiene values in accordance with international standards can only be attained with a team of experts.
In our country, these applications have to be conducted in a more conscious way and extended. Alarko Carrier will continue organizing seminars on this issue so as to convey the information on the subject to the authorities. The seminar attracted 200 participants consisting of contractors in the area of mechanics, authors of projects, hospital operators and technical managers.
“Innovative Developments in Hospital Air Conditioning as per European Standards” seminar in Ankara.
Following the seminar in Izmir, the “Innovative Developments in Hospital Air Conditioning as per European Standards” seminar was held for the mechanical engineers working at the Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKl) in Ankara on 19 March 2009 by Alberto Monti.
Information regarding the design criteria of hygienic air conditioning implementations, laminar ceiling applications, and equipment used in the installation of modular air conditioners, etc. was given at the seminar.
The proportion of fresh air acceptable in design in compliance with standards was discussed extensively.
