In January 2009, Toshiba Air Conditioner was awarded the “Trade and Industry Award” of the Ministry of Economy of Japan for the Super Digital Inverter 4 light commercial air conditioner series and the “Blue Ribbon Award” of the Chairmanship of the Energy Conservation Center for the Super Daiseikai air conditioner within the scope of the 19th Energy Conservation Blue Ribbon Award Program. The “Blue Ribbon Award” is given to the best energy saving technology and product in the area of store, office and dwelling air conditioning. This year Toshiba Daiseikai received this award for the second time.
Reducing C02 emissions in the commercial and housing sectors has now become a major priority. About 30 % of the total energy used in the air conditioning of buildings is used in retail stores, offices and houses. Therefore, energy conservation in these areas is becoming increasingly
more important.
Toshiba attaches major importance to developing apparatus parts and equipment for energy conservation to increase the performance and operating efficiency of the equipment. As
a result, the annual performance factor of all the models in the Super Digital Inverter 4 series has reached the best level (JIS B8616) in the world.
